Yorktown Frequently Asked Questions
1. What neighborhoods make up Yorktown HOA?
Yorktown Homeowners Association is made up of nine neighborhoods: Henley, Plymouth, Birmingham, Carlisle, Manchester, Shelby, Cambridge, Covington and Remington.
2. Where can I find out more about the neighborhood and see a copy of the neighborhood covenants and bylaws?
The covenants can be found on this site, under Residents > Documents. You will need to register on the website to receive emails about future events. We also have a very active Facebook page. Please search “Yorktown Neighborhood - Jenks” on Facebook and request to join the group. Ensure you note your address when submitting your request.
3. Do I need permission to make a change to my roof/fence/other outdoor area?
Yes. In order to change or add anything (fence, pergola, pool, outdoor kitchen, roof, paint color, etc.) to the outside of your house, you must fill out an architectural change request. These can be found on the website.
4. When does the pool open?
The pools are generally open just before Memorial Day through Labor Day. The pool is closed on Wednesday mornings for cleaning. Contact Green Country HOA Management for a key fob. Replacement or additional fobs are $25. HOA dues must be current for fobs to be activated. Check out this page for additional information on making pool party reservations.
5. Can I add storage building in my backyard?
No, the covenants state that there are no outbuildings of any kind allowed.
6. When do I pay dues? Where do I mail them?
Dues invoices are emailed quarterly starting in January. Yorktown HOA’s billing address is PO Box 217 Jenks, OK 74037. They can also be paid online. Contact Green Country HOA for any questions or concerns in setting up online payments.
7. Can I park my RV/ trailer/ boat in my driveway or in front of my house?
Per the covenants, you can park your RV, boat, or trailer in your driveway for no more than 24 hours. You may NOT store your RV, boat or trailer on your lot.
8. How do I get more involved in the HOA?
Annual HOA meetings are held in April, at the Glenpool Conference Center. Additionally, we are always looking for volunteers to assist with various committees and social events. Let Green Country HOA know if you are interested in getting involved, and they will connect you with our social events chair.
9. What kind of events does the HOA put on?
Yorktown has a busy social calendar! Easter egg hunt, 4th of July parade, summer kick off, family pool movie nights, fall festival, turkey trot, fishing derby, cookies with Santa, back to school bash are just a few events hosted by the HOA. Residents also host multiple bunco groups, ladies’ socials, book clubs, and more! Event details will be emailed to residents and available on social media.
